Hidden Hollow offers visitors a chance to experience maple production the way it has been done for generations. During Maple Days, guests are welcome to stop by the sugarhouse, see the evaporator in action, and learn how sap from the surrounding woods is carefully transformed into rich, golden syrup. It’s a relaxed, authentic stop where you can ask questions, sample maple products, and take home a taste of a family tradition that has been part of Thurman’s maple heritage for decades.
During Maple Days, visitors can watch sap being boiled into maple syrup using Hidden Hollow’s traditional wood-fired evaporator. The sweet smell of maple fills the sugarhouse as the sap slowly transforms into rich, golden syrup using methods that have been passed down through generations.
Step inside the sugarhouse and learn how maple syrup is made from start to finish. Guests are welcome to look around, ask questions, and see the equipment used to turn sap from the surrounding woods into finished maple syrup.
Hidden Hollow offers a variety of maple products made right on the farm. Visitors can browse pure maple syrup along with maple candies, spreads, and other maple treats. It’s a great stop to sample the flavors of the season and bring home a taste of Thurman’s maple tradition.
