The Visit Thurman mobile application (“App”) is provided as a convenience to assist visitors in locating participating farms, businesses, and attractions associated with Thurman Maple Days and other authorized tourism initiatives in Thurman, New York.
By downloading, accessing, or using this App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.
The Thurman Community Association (“TCA”) is the public-facing program name used for community initiatives organized and administered by the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
The Thurman Station Association, Inc. (“TSA”) is the legal nonprofit entity responsible for the administration, management, and oversight of the Visit Thurman mobile application and related tourism programs.
The Visit Thurman mobile application, including all associated software, design, navigation systems, databases, branding, and digital assets, is the sole property of the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
The application was designed and developed by ADK Web Solutions LLC under contract for the benefit of the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
All rights, title, and control of the application remain with the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
No rights are granted to any third party to operate, modify, replicate, or utilize the application for independent events or programs without the express written authorization of the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
Development of the Visit Thurman mobile application was funded directly by the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
The application was not funded through occupancy tax (OT) allocations or other governmental funding provided by the Town of Thurman or Warren County, New York.
While the Town of Thurman and Warren County may support or promote tourism initiatives within the community, such support does not grant ownership, control, or operational authority over the Visit Thurman mobile application.
The Visit Thurman mobile application is intended solely to support tourism promotion and events organized or authorized by the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
Use of the application to promote or operate events, programs, or activities not authorized by the Thurman Station Association, Inc. is not permitted.
The Thurman Station Association, Inc. retains full authority to determine when, where, and how the application may be used.
The App provides maps, suggested travel routes, event information, and location data for informational purposes only.
Although reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate information, routes, travel times, road conditions, and event details may change without notice and may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.
Users should not rely solely on the App for navigation or travel decisions.
Users are solely responsible for the safe operation of their vehicles and for complying with all applicable traffic laws.
You should not interact with the App while operating a vehicle in a manner that distracts from safe driving.
Users are responsible for:
Following posted road signage
Observing road conditions
Complying with traffic laws
Exercising reasonable judgment when traveling
Users should safely pull over before interacting with the App if necessary.
Navigation routes provided within the App may rely on mapping technologies, GPS data, and third-party services that may occasionally contain inaccuracies.
Rural roads in the Thurman area may include:
Seasonal roads
Narrow or unpaved roads
Limited maintenance roads
Private driveways or farm access roads
Users must evaluate the safety and legality of any route before proceeding.
By using the App, users voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel and navigation, including risks related to:
Motor vehicle travel
Weather conditions
Rural road conditions
Navigation errors
GPS inaccuracies
Third-party mapping data
Users are responsible for their own decisions while traveling.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the following parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the Visit Thurman mobile application:

This limitation includes, but is not limited to, damages related to:
Vehicle accidents
Personal injury
Property damage
Navigation errors
Travel delays
Reliance on information within the App
Users acknowledge that they are responsible for their own actions and decisions while traveling.
The App may utilize third-party mapping systems, GPS data providers, or routing services.
These services operate independently and may experience inaccuracies, interruptions, or outages beyond the control of the Thurman Station Association, Inc.
No guarantee is made regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party services.
The Visit Thurman mobile application may be updated, modified, temporarily interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice.
Compatibility with all devices or operating systems is not guaranteed.
All content within the App, including but not limited to graphics, logos, photographs, text, navigation systems, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws and remains the property of the Thurman Station Association, Inc. or its respective owners.
Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
By downloading, installing, or using the Visit Thurman mobile application, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the terms contained in this disclosure.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should discontinue use of the application.
Thurman Maple Days and other programs promoted through the Visit Thurman mobile application may include photography, videography, aerial drone footage, and other forms of media capture for promotional, historical, and marketing purposes.
By attending Thurman Maple Days or participating in related activities, visitors acknowledge that they may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded in public areas of the event.
Such media may be used by the Thurman Station Association, Inc., the Thurman Community Association, ADK Web Solutions LLC, event partners, and authorized tourism organizations for purposes including but not limited to:
Event promotion
Tourism marketing
Website and social media content
Printed promotional materials
News or editorial coverage
Educational or archival documentation
Media captured during the event may also be enhanced, edited, or incorporated into materials created using modern digital tools, including AI-assisted editing technologies, for the purpose of producing promotional content.
Attendance at the event constitutes consent for the capture and use of such media in accordance with applicable law.
Individuals who do not wish to appear in promotional media should make reasonable efforts to avoid areas where photography or filming is taking place or notify event staff if concerns arise.
Many locations featured during Thurman Maple Days are active working farms, agricultural facilities, and private properties that have voluntarily opened their premises to visitors during the event.
Visitors should understand that agricultural environments may contain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Uneven terrain
Mud, ice, snow, or wet surfaces
Farm equipment and machinery
Livestock or farm animals
Wood-fired evaporators and hot surfaces
Construction or forestry equipment
Limited parking areas and rural roadways
Visitors are responsible for exercising caution, supervising children, respecting posted signs, and following instructions provided by property owners or event volunteers.
By entering participating locations, visitors acknowledge these inherent conditions and accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those under their supervision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the following parties shall not be liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from normal conditions associated with agricultural properties or rural tourism activities:
