Thurman Maple Days is a free public community event organized by the Thurman Community Association (“TCA”) in partnership with local farms, businesses, and community organizations within the Town of Thurman, Warren County, New York.
Thurman Maple Days celebrates the region’s agricultural heritage and maple syrup industry and welcomes visitors to participating farms, sugarhouses, vendor markets, craft fairs, and other public venues across the Town of Thurman.
Event marketing, photography, videography, drone operations, digital documentation, and promotional media production are provided under contract by ADK Web Solutions LLC on behalf of the Thurman Community Association.
Because Thurman Maple Days is a large public event held across multiple locations, photography, video recording, drone footage, and other forms of media capture may occur throughout the event.
By attending Thurman Maple Days, visitors acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Authorized photographers, videographers, media personnel, and event staff may capture:
• still photography
• video recordings
• audio recordings
• live streaming or recorded broadcasts
• drone and aerial footage
• mobile or handheld media capture
Recording may occur at any participating location associated with Thurman Maple Days including farms, sugarhouses, craft markets, vendor areas, parking areas, roadways, and other public gathering spaces.
Footage may include wide-angle crowd views, environmental scenes, demonstrations, vendor interactions, and other activities taking place during the event.
By attending Thurman Maple Days or entering event areas, you acknowledge that your image, voice, likeness, or appearance may be captured in photographs, videos, drone footage, or audio recordings.
Attendance at the event constitutes voluntary consent and permission for the Thurman Community Association and its authorized partners to record and use such media.
You grant the Thurman Community Association and its authorized contractors the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and edit media in which you may appear.
Such media may be used for purposes including but not limited to:
• tourism promotion
• event marketing and advertising
• websites and mobile applications
• social media platforms
• printed promotional materials and brochures
• press releases and media coverage
• digital advertising and video campaigns
• historical documentation and archival purposes
Individuals appearing incidentally in public event footage are not entitled to compensation, approval rights, or royalties related to such use.
Drone photography and videography may occur during Thurman Maple Days.
Drone operations will be conducted by licensed or authorized operators in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and safety guidelines.
Aerial footage may capture wide-area views including:
• farms and sugarhouses
• craft markets and vendor areas
• parking areas and roadways
• public gathering spaces
• surrounding landscapes and town views
Attendees acknowledge that drone footage may include crowds or individuals within public spaces.
Media captured during Thurman Maple Days may be processed using modern digital production tools, including artificial intelligence assisted technologies.
These tools may be used for purposes such as:
• video editing and stabilization
• transcription and caption generation
• automated tagging or categorization of media
• image enhancement and color correction
• production of promotional videos or digital content
Artificial intelligence tools may assist in editing or organizing media content but are used solely as production tools and do not materially misrepresent the event or its participants.
Parents or legal guardians attending Thurman Maple Days with children acknowledge that minors present in public areas may appear incidentally in crowd or environmental footage.
Parents or guardians who prefer that a child not appear in identifiable close-up media may notify event staff or photographers at the time footage is being captured. Reasonable efforts may be made to accommodate such requests where feasible.
Thurman Maple Days takes place across public environments and open venues where large numbers of visitors gather.
Individuals attending the event should not expect privacy with respect to photography or video recording while present in event areas.
Unless otherwise specified, photographs, videos, drone footage, audio recordings, and other media captured for Thurman Maple Days remain the property of:

Media may be archived and reused in connection with future Thurman Maple Days events, tourism promotion, or historical documentation.
Visitors, journalists, and content creators may capture their own photos or videos during the event.
The Thurman Community Association does not control or assume responsibility for the recording, publication, or distribution of media captured by third parties.
The name “Thurman Maple Days,” “Visit Thurman,” and associated event branding may not be used for commercial merchandise, advertising campaigns, or promotional media without permission from the Thurman Community Association.
Additionally, photographs or video footage captured during Thurman Maple Days may not be sold, licensed, or distributed commercially using the event name or branding without authorization from the Thurman Community Association.
Promotional materials for Thurman Maple Days and Visit Thurman may refer to the Town of Thurman as the “Maple Capital of New York.”
This phrase is used as a descriptive community designation recognizing the area’s long-standing concentration of maple syrup producers and agricultural heritage.
The phrase “Maple Capital of New York” is not claimed by the Thurman Community Association as a registered trademark, service mark, or exclusive proprietary designation.
Its use in event materials, websites, advertisements, and media content is intended solely to highlight the regional maple industry and support tourism and community promotion.
Use of this phrase does not imply exclusive ownership or trademark rights, and it does not restrict lawful descriptive use of similar language by others.
