Every March, as the snow begins to melt and the maple sap starts flowing, Thurman Maple Days transforms the quiet backroads of Thurman, NY, into a celebration of all things maple. This three-weekend event is your chance to step inside working sugarhouses, watch live demonstrations, indulge in maple treats, and experience small-town hospitality at its best. Once you have your brochure, you’re ready to explore the 9 participating locations, including five maple farms, local businesses, and unique experiences.
Each maple farm has its own unique methods and traditions, but you can expect:

✔ Wagon rides (available at select farms)

Take a wagon ride through the sugarbush, cross the timber-frame covered bridge, and explore one of the largest maple farms in the region. Their farm store offers everything from bourbon barrel-aged syrup to handcrafted ceramics.
